Hawks sold on the street

Street traders in hawks are themselves good falconers, beautifully manned hawks are walked around the city streets looking for a buyer. Purchase one of these are you are ready to enter her once her weight is right. All the hawks I saw for sale in this way were feather perfect and so calm.

Chinese falconry practised this way does little harm and in some cases actually benefits some hawks. All the hawks purchased are released in Spring, none are kept over summer.

It has been proven in Britain that the survival rate of first year goshawks taken on passage and handled by falconers over their first winter is far greater than the survival rate in the wild.

The Chinese falconry methods have been honed by centuries of practise and they work for both the falconers and their hawks.
