Jack and Connie Oar and Alan Gates, falconers

Jack and Connie Oar are wonderful hosts and it is such a pleasure to drop by and spend a few days in their company.
Their homestead is located in beautiful country between two mountain ranges just above the “Little Lost River”.
I had corresponded with Jack for a number of years before I met him, as at that time he was harbouring a desire to trap and train a Golden Eagle.
I seem to remember that Fran Hammerstrom who pioneered the idea of A.I. in Golden Eagles and fired my imagination with her book “An Eagle to the Sky” first put me in touch with Jack.

We are standing outside of Jack’s guest cabin which is a delight to stay in especially if, like me you grew up on a diet of “cowboy films”.
