The sighthounds are off trying to keep the hare running in a circle. The TuHu falcon is airborne and raining blows onto the fleeing hare, and the short-legged wooly mutts put on a great show of keeping up with the action.
The TuHu falcons talons and beak are blunted, first to stop her from binding and getting dragged and hurt. Her beak is blunted so she does not break in and damage the fur pelt.
Her job is to rain blows to the hare until she knocks it out, the dogs then sit near the falcon on her prize waiting for the falconer to arrive. |
