Great respect is given to the TuHu Falcon on her kill, in fact all of the Chinese falconers I hunted with were the same with their hawks on a kill.
A lot of attention is put into caring for her plumage whilst she is on her quarry, usually with one person looking after her train whilst she is given her reward.
This is always from the kill, it is opened up and the warm organs are offered to the hawk to eat from the hand. It is always a very calm affair, with the hawk waiting to be fed and being given the time to relax before being asked to step up on the fist again. |
