Even at an early age Gracie my Large Munsterlander was pointing game in the hedgerows around the farm. She has an excellent nose and through time she is becoming quite steady.
We only have wild pheasants and they are really quite wild so were not always that happy to hold to a point which can be a bit frustrating when teaching a young dog to hold steady to a point.
I have to say I have been very pleased with my young dogs progress, I am by no means an expert dog trainer but the results so far have been very satisfying indeed.
