Five years on and my second Large Munsterlander working dog is honed into a very capable dog. Much of which I must admit is down to her impeccable breeding with only her dam being a British bred dog. All her other ancestors being German working Champion stock. With such a pedigree I had no excuse of failure, so where I fell short the dog corrected me and together we forged a good working relationship. To commemorate this moment in time I commissioned Alex Benn a digital artist of Foxer Cards to produce for me an image from a viewpoint that I rarely see, being as I am working from behind the dog most of the time. The location is in our farm wood where I have flown many a goshawk and Red-tail, being only a few hundred yards from the house it is ideal for that quick hunt before lunch of late in the afternoon. I hope you will agree with me that Alex has captured the moment just perfectly. |
